UPVC Windows in Swansea

UPVC Windows in Swansea

A block of flats overlooking a major road in Swansea is causing a stir online as people debate whether its design is beautiful or an eyesore. It features coloured windows designed by artist Jonah Jones.

They were originally hung in a Catholic church in the village of Morfa Nefyn for over 40 years. But the Diocese of Wrexham thought they could be given a new lease of life elsewhere if they were moved.
UPVC Windows

UPVC windows offer excellent thermal and mechanical properties, as well as providing a great external change to a house. They can be used in new construction, as replacement windows or for renovation projects.

They are extremely easy to maintain and have a long life span. They can be painted if desired and are fire-retardant. They also have good water tightness. Unlike wood, they do not rot and are not affected by termites. UPVC does not have lead, so it is safe for children to touch.

The multi-chambered frames of UPVC are a great insulator, keeping the cold out and the heat in. They are available in a wide variety of colors. Some come with a woodgrain finish that gives them a natural look. They are also available in a range of operation styles including tilt and turn, casement, and double hung. You can choose from American or European UPVC profiles. The American profiles are thinner and do not have steel reinforcement.
UPVC Casement Windows

UPVC casement windows are hinged at the side and open outwards by turning handles on a friction hinge. They are a popular choice of window for modern homes as they offer great ventilation and let in plenty of natural light.

Compared to timber, uPVC windows are much easier to clean and maintain, with no need for repainting or sanding. They are also more energy efficient, keeping your home cosy in winter and cool in summer.

Liniar uPVC casement windows offer sculptured or chamfered 70mm profiles, double or triple glazing and an extensive choice of colours, finishes, hardware and glazing options. Their energy saving profiles can achieve WER A+12 with cost effective double glazing and a U-value of as low as 0.8 W/m2K with triple glazing.

We can supply both flush and non-flush UPVC casement windows, the difference being that the flush fitting ones sit completely level with the frame when closed. This gives a cleaner, sleeker look to your home.
UPVC Tilt & Turn Windows

Our modern uPVC tilt and turn windows are hinged on one side and open inwards to maximise the amount of fresh air that enters your home. They feature a tilt mode which is activated by turning the large handle and a turn mode that swings the entire sash up at a 90 degree angle providing vertical air exchange, ideal for healthy ventilation.

These windows also provide a wide range of configuration options for cleaning and fire escape purposes. With a simple yet innovative design, they’re a great alternative to American casement windows and are made with steel core reinforced UPVC framing which makes them stronger than other window types on the market.

You’ll be able to enjoy unobstructed scenic views and more natural sunlight in your home with these top of the range windows. You’ll have the peace of mind in knowing that they’re secure too with multi locking systems and high RC2 burglary resistance that meets European standards.
